Dropbox did two separate acquisitions during the past week. Both are Lom which is a service provider of cloud-based photo storage, and Hackpad ie online document collaboration company.

The latest two acquisitions occurred amid the bustle Dropbox like application launch Mailbox for Android devices, as well as photo sharing app for iOS and Android, Carousel.

Reported by Neowin, Monday (21/04/2014), Dropbox has confirmed the truth about the acquisition Loom. Popular photo sharing application on the iOS device will be integrated with the application of technology Carousel. The service itself will be discontinued Loom begin May 16, 2014.

Loom will no longer open a new registration, and old users will be redirected to the Carousel. Users who do not wish to use the Dropbox app can download data Loom them in zip format.

As for Hackpad, the company announced that its services will continue as usual, including for old or new users.
